Several notable figures, including Catherine, the Princess of Wales, congratulated Team Great Britain for their outstanding performance at the 2024 Olympics. Kate appeared alongside her husband, Prince William, in a video shared on their joint Instagram account, @princeandprincessofwales.

"Congratulations to Team GB from all of us watching at home," Kate said, donning a black-and-white striped shirt.

"You've been an inspiration to us all. Well done on everything you've achieved," William added, wearing a blue Adidas polo shirt, showcasing a tan, and sporting a new look with facial hair.

Among the other British celebrities who praised the team were former soccer star David Beckham, BBC presenter Greg James, Olympic gold medalist Kelly Holmes, and several more stars.

"Well done @teamgb! What an incredible journey. Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart, and passion. You’ve made us all so proud! Here's to celebrating every triumph at @paris2024 and looking forward to more from @paralympicsgb_official later this summer 🇬🇧🥇," the Prince and Princess of Wales captioned their post.

The video also featured appearances from other celebrities, bookended by Snoop Dogg, who became an iconic figure while covering the Olympics for NBC in Paris.

"Thank you, Great Britain, on behalf of big Snoop Dogg, the Prince, and his lovely wife," Snoop said, flashing peace signs before moving his hands into a prayer gesture.

However, the biggest surprise may have been William’s new scruffy beard, which sparked quite a reaction online.

"Someone tell him to keep it!" one user on X commented.

"Love the beard," another added.

Kate, who has reduced her public appearances since revealing her cancer diagnosis in March, has been the focus of much attention. The diagnosis came after a major abdominal surgery in January.

“At first, we believed my condition was non-cancerous,” Kate shared in a video posted in March. “The surgery was successful, but tests afterward revealed cancer had been present.”

While neither Kate nor Kensington Palace have disclosed the type of cancer, she mentioned in March that she was in the early stages of preventative chemotherapy.

The mother of three made her first public appearance since the announcement during Trooping the Colour in June.

She released a statement ahead of the annual parade celebrating the monarch’s official birthday, clarifying that she wasn’t yet resuming royal duties and still had a few months of chemotherapy ahead.

In July, Kate attended the Wimbledon men's singles final between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. Her arrival with daughter Charlotte was met with a standing ovation as they settled into the Royal Box at Centre Court.
