Will Taylor Swift Attend the 2024 Paris Olympics?

Jul 30, 2024

Taylor Swift recently brought her record-breaking “Eras Tour” to Paris, debuting a new era, setlist, and performing her 87th show. But will she be back in the City of Lights for the 2024 Olympics?

Currently, Swift is in the international leg of her tour and hasn’t been seen at the Summer Games. However, she's showing her support for the athletes from afar. On the first day of competition, she will preview a live version of her hit song "...Ready For It?" during NBC and Peacock's primetime broadcast.

In a post on X, Swift said, "You should see the things they're doing in Paris. Tune into @nbc and @peacock at 8/7c to hear ...Ready For It? — Live From Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour on Primetime. #WeAreReadyForIt," sharing clips of Team USA athletes talking about the competition.

This recording is from her ongoing "Eras Tour," currently in Germany. While Swift hasn't publicly confirmed any plans to attend the 2024 Olympics, her schedule does have gaps that make it possible. For instance, she doesn't have a concert on August 11, the day of the closing ceremony. Her shows in Munich, Germany (July 27-28), Warsaw, Poland (August 1-3), and Vienna, Austria (August 8-10) are all within three hours of Paris by plane.

Given that Swift attended the Las Vegas Super Bowl on February 11 after performing in Tokyo on February 10, her appearance in Paris is feasible.

Swift has a connection to Team USA’s women’s gymnastics team. In 2021, after Simone Biles withdrew from the Tokyo Olympics, Swift narrated a tribute video to Biles, using her song “This Is Me Trying.” She also voiced a trailer highlighting Suni Lee and Jade Carey. Earlier this year, Biles and Swift interacted on X. Biles, who launched her Olympic comeback in August 2023, uses Swift’s song “...Ready For It?” in her floor routine. Swift responded to a video of Biles' performance at the U.S. Olympic gymnastics trials, tweeting, “Watched this so many times and still unready.”

Additionally, Swift has supported the women's water polo team, giving them VIP tickets to one of her Paris shows in May. Despite her wide range of sports interests, her favorite sport appears to be American football, highlighted by her relationship with Kansas Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Here's the remaining schedule for Swift's international "Eras Tour" before she returns to the U.S.:
