The choreographer poked fun at his gaffe on Instagram while also referencing the recent “very demure” trend.

Dancer Kameron Saunders has recently joined the viral “demure” TikTok trend following a memorable fall on stage during Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.” Saunders, who has been energetically performing alongside Swift at London’s Wembley Stadium, took an unexpected tumble during the “The Tortured Poets Department” segment of the show.

Saunders, whose brother is former Kansas City Chiefs player Khalen Saunders, humorously addressed the incident in an Instagram post on August 17. He shared a video clip of his slip, complete with a record scratch sound and a voiceover saying, “Yep, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.”

The video then shows the fall in slow motion before Saunders quickly recovers and continues dancing, seamlessly rejoining Swift, who remained unfazed as she sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

In the caption, Saunders continued to poke fun at himself, referencing the popular TikTok trend created by Jools Lebron that emphasizes being “very demure” and “very mindful.”

“Did you see how I didn’t trip the boss lady when I wiped out last night?” he quipped, referring to Swift. He humorously added, “Veryyyy MINDFUL veryyyy Demure,” along with a few sparkle emojis.

Reassuring his fans, Saunders confirmed he was fine after the fall. “I’ve seen all your sweet comments about how professional I was to jump right back into the choreography. I’m good, I promise,” he wrote, adding a few crying-laughing emojis. “It’s just a bit of an ego check to fall in front of 92,000 people! But hey, this was worth a laugh. Enjoy!”

Fans, affectionately known as Swifties, joined in on the fun, playfully altering some of Swift’s song titles to fit the moment.

One fan joked, “Kam can do it with a broken hip,” while another quipped, “thanK you AMiee,” cleverly playing with the spelling to include Saunders’ name. Another added, “Miss Americana and the Hip Break Prince,” a nod to Swift’s “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince.”

One Swiftie praised Saunders’ professionalism, using the lyrics from “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” commenting, “But he was hitting his marks… You are amazing,” with a red heart emoji.

This wasn’t Saunders’ first foray into the “very demure” trend. At each “Eras Tour” concert, he’s added his own flair during the bridge of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” by saying a humorous phrase when Swift turns to him. At one London show, Saunders adopted a posh British accent, asking, “Are you mad?” just before Swift launched into the chorus.

He shared the moment on Instagram, captioning it, “Did you catch how I asked ‘are you mad?’ in my best British accent… verrryyyyyyyy demure.”

The “very demure” trend has exploded online this month, thanks to TikTok creator Jools Lebron’s posts about being “modest and respectful” in the workplace. One of Lebron’s videos has garnered over 3 million likes on the platform.

In an August 14 update, Lebron, who is transgender and uses she/her pronouns, shared in a TikTok video how the success of the “very demure” trend has been life-changing for her.

“Maybe you should make those videos,” she encouraged her followers. “Because one day I was pretending to be a cashier and making videos on my break, and now I’m flying across the country to host events, and I’ll be able to finance the rest of my transition.”
