Wedding bells may soon be ringing for Lady Gaga. The renowned actress and singer introduced Michael Polansky, her boyfriend of four years, as “my fiancé” to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal. This introduction occurred during an Olympic swimming competition on Sunday and was captured in a video posted on the Prime Minister’s TikTok page.
The Oscar-winning star was in Paris over the weekend to perform at the 2024 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony. Lady Gaga’s representative has been contacted by CNN for comment.
Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky, a tech entrepreneur, first made their relationship public on Instagram during Super Bowl weekend in 2020. Despite maintaining a private relationship, Lady Gaga has occasionally shared glimpses of their romance on social media.
In 2021, she posted a photo of an elaborate floral arrangement Polansky sent for her birthday, captioning it, “When your bf sends you all the flowers in Rome for your birthday. I love you honey. I can’t wait to be home with you and our dogs, that’s all I need.”
During an interview with the Hollywood Reporter that same year, she made a rare comment about Polansky, stating, “My dogs and the man that I love are my whole life.”
Lady Gaga seems to have confirmed her engagement to Michael Polansky by introducing him as "my fiancé" at the Olympics. She performed at the opening ceremony of the Paris games on Friday night and later introduced Polansky to the French Prime Minister as her fiancé. The interaction was posted on TikTok by Prime Minister Attal, who also praised Gaga's performance.
Gaga and Polansky first appeared together at a New Year's Eve party in Las Vegas in 2019 and confirmed their relationship a few months later on Instagram.
The French Prime Minister's video, taken from the stands of the swimming event, included the caption, "Thank you Lady Gaga for your stunning performance at the opening ceremony. It was breathtaking."

Lady Gaga’s opening act at the ceremony featured a performance of Zizi Jeanmaire's 1961 track "Mon Truc en Plumes," accompanied by dancers with pink pompoms along the River Seine. She expressed her gratitude for being asked to open the Paris Olympics and to sing such a special French song honoring the French people and their rich cultural history.
In a social media post, she congratulated the athletes and expressed her honor in singing for them. She wrote, "I feel so completely grateful to have been asked to open the Paris Olympics 2024 this year. I am also humbled to be asked by the Olympics organizing committee to sing such a special French song - a song to honor the French people and their tremendous history of art, music, and theatre."
In June, Gaga addressed rumors about her being pregnant after a photo of her in a tight-fitting black dress circulated online. She posted a TikTok video with the caption, "Not pregnant - just down bad cryin at the gym," seemingly referencing Taylor Swift's song "Down Bad" from the album "The Tortured Poets Department."
