Lisa Kudrow, 60, revealed on the July 16 episode of *Jimmy Kimmel Live* that she is often recognized as Phoebe Buffay, even by other celebrities.
"How often do people call you Phoebe?" guest host Anthony Anderson inquired, referencing her iconic role on the NBC sitcom, which aired for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.
"Oh, my God!" Kudrow exclaimed, before sharing a story about meeting Bullock, 59, at a party.
"I just love this... I was at a big party, chatting with Sandra Bullock," Kudrow recalled. "And during our conversation, she said, 'Well, I guess you’ll just have to talk to yourself, Phoebe.'"
"She called me Phoebe!" Kudrow laughed.
However, Bullock quickly realized her mistake. "She caught herself and asked, 'What did I just do?'" Kudrow recounted.
Reflecting on her *Friends* days as the legendary show marks its 30th anniversary and 20 years since its finale in 2024, Kudrow shared a sweet story about her son Julian’s reaction to her tears when the show ended. Kudrow and her husband Michael Stern have a 26-year-old son, Julian.
"Apparently, I was crying in the kitchen," Kudrow remembered about the first week after the show wrapped in 2004. "My son was 5 at the time and asked why I was crying. My husband explained, 'She's sad because *Friends* is over.' And Julian replied, 'But she can see her friends... she can just call them.'"
"He never knew what the show was called," Kudrow added. "He just knew I worked on a show."
Kudrow, who starred alongside the late Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc, also mentioned that she has recently started rewatching old episodes after avoiding them for many years.
"I do [watch it] now, but I couldn't for the longest time. I couldn't watch myself at all... even if I wanted to, the thought of someone walking in and seeing me watch *Friends* was too embarrassing," she joked.
