Vice President Kamala Harris praised President Joe Biden and his achievements during her first public appearance since his endorsement. Speaking on the White House South Lawn at an event honoring NCAA champions for the 2023-2024 season, Harris highlighted Biden's significant contributions.

Harris remarked that Biden’s accomplishments over the past three years are unparalleled in modern history. "In one term, he has surpassed the legacies of many presidents who served two terms," she noted.

She further praised Biden's honesty, integrity, dedication to faith and family, as well as his deep love for the country. "Every day, President Joe Biden fights for the American people, and we are profoundly grateful for his service," she said.

Harris also mentioned Biden's recovery from his recent COVID-19 diagnosis, stating that he is "feeling much better" and "recovering fast." She added that he is eager to resume his travels and engagements.

Following Biden’s endorsement, Harris expressed her honor in receiving his support, stating her determination to secure the nomination. Since then, numerous Democrats, including several high-profile governors and lawmakers, have endorsed her, though some key congressional leaders, such as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, have not yet formally backed her.

Although Harris did not address her presidential campaign during her Monday remarks due to the event's official nature, she is expected to discuss her candidacy, campaign strategy, and plans for defeating former President Donald Trump in future appearances. Additionally, she plans to visit Wilmington, Delaware, to meet with campaign staff.
