Jessica Alba is back in the driver's seat – but this time, she's navigating the fast lane of Hollywood, not the aisles of a baby store. In a surprising turn of events, the 43-year-old actress recently announced her return to acting after over a decade of focusing on her wildly successful brand, The Honest Company.

Alba caught up with reporters at the Monster Jam World Finals in Los Angeles, where she revealed her excitement for this new chapter. Joined by her three children, Alba elaborated on her decision to step down as chief creative officer of Honest. While details remain scarce, she exudes an optimistic energy about her acting comeback.

Alba's upcoming film, "Trigger Warning," marks her first on-screen appearance since 2019. In the movie, she transforms into a seasoned Special Forces commando grappling with the mysterious death of her father in her hometown.

This return coincides with her departure from Honest, announced on Instagram last month. Founded in 2012, the company stemmed from Alba's personal need for safe baby products after a troubling allergic reaction while pregnant. From a seven-product online store, Honest skyrocketed to a brand that landed Alba on Forbes' list of wealthiest self-made women in 2016, largely thanks to her significant ownership stake.

However, Honest's journey wasn't without bumps in the road. The brand faced criticism from competitors and media scrutiny over alleged ingredient inconsistencies and product labeling. Despite these controversies, Alba's recent resignation statement focused on the positive, referring to Honest as a "labor of love" and expressing her continued involvement on the board.

While the reasons behind her departure remain unclear, one thing is certain: Jessica Alba is ready to trade boardroom meetings for movie sets. With "Trigger Warning" on the horizon, it seems Hollywood is ready to welcome her back with open arms.
